Blue Murder- Jelly Roll

John Sykes es uno de esos músicos infravalorados. Tras pasar por Tigers of Pan Tang y Thin Lizzy, llegó a Whitesnake, siendo el autor de gran parte de la música del superventas 1987 . Un éxito que no pudo disfrutar de su éxito ya que fue sustituido por Adrian VAndenberg y Vivian Campbell (Dio, y ahora en Def Leppard). Al salir de Whitesnake funda Blue Murder, y saca un discazo homónimo, original y rompedor en su momento.

Era 1989 y la música era macarra, la estética, todavía más (basta con ver el vídeo). Obviando la estética, que en fondo mola, la canción que pongo Jelly Roll es un buen ejemplo de la fuerza de Sykes, su virtuosismo como guitarrista y el personal bajo sin trastes de Tony Franklin (como los que usan en el Jazz).

Y al final, la rubia vuelve con él, acaso lo dudabas?
